Encryption and Decryption

The method of making the data or message unreadable by unauthorized people while transferring it is called encryption.
  • Encryption is the process of translating plain text data (plain-text) into something that appears to be random and meaningless (cipher-text). It is the conversion of data into a form, called a cipher-text, that cannot be easily understood by unauthorized people.
The method of converting encrypted data back into its original form to make understandable to the receiver is known as decryption.
  •  Decryption is the process of converting cipher-text back to plain-text. It is the process of converting encrypted data back into its original form, so it can be understood.
