- It takes less programming time.
- Size of the program is small.
- It is easy to learn and program.
- Easy to locate mistakes.
- Easily readable.
- Program is not machine oriented so program is transportable from one computer to other.
- No need to know the internal architecture of computer by the programmer.
- Disadvantages:
- This language executes slowly.
- Some problems cannot be solved with this language.
- Need compilers or interpreters to program.
