What is Star Topology?

A star topology is a network topology that uses a central connectivity device as hub to connect the computers and other devices in the shape of a star structure.

• In this topology, each individual nodes on the network communicate with a central hub that re-sends the message either to all the computers or nodes (in a broadcast network), or only the destination computer or node (in a switched network).
