What is application software?
- The type of software prepared for the use of consumer to do specific jobs is called application software.
- Application software is classified into two types. They are:
- Packaged software
- Tailored software
- What is packaged software?
- Those software which are generalized set of programs that is used to deal with a particular application is packaged software. Examples: Producing bill or pay roll, documents, reports, Microsoft office package, Adobe Photoshop etc.
- What is tailored software?
- Those software specially designed to solve a specific job or task are tailored software. Examples: result processing, printing certificates, etc.
